CHONK CRUNCH · EFFECTIVE 7 AUGUST 2026 · UPDATED 9 AUGUST 2026

> THE_SHORT_VERSION

Chonk Crunch collects anonymous gameplay and crash information so we can fix bugs and understand which parts of the game people enjoy.

We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or location. We do not use the advertising identifier. We do not show ads. We do not sell or share your information, and there is no account to sign in to.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings › Analytics, inside the game.

01

Who we are

Chonk Crunch is published by El Destro 5000. This policy covers the Chonk Crunch mobile game on iOS and Android (application identifier com.eldestro5000.chonkcrunch).

02

What we collect

Everything below is collected through Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics), which acts as our data processor.

GAMEPLAY EVENTS

A round started or ended, a score, a merge, a café unlocked, a tutorial step finished.

Why: to understand which parts of the game are enjoyed, too hard, or never seen.

AN ANONYMOUS INSTALL IDENTIFIER

A random value generated on your device the first time the game runs.

Why: so events from one installation can be grouped together.

CRASH AND PERFORMANCE DATA

The point in the code where a crash happened, and diagnostic context.

Why: to find and fix crashes.

BASIC DEVICE AND APP INFORMATION

Device model, operating system version, app version, language.

Why: to reproduce bugs and know which devices to support.

The install identifier is not an advertising ID

The identifier described above is generated by the game itself and is specific to your installation. It is not your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), and it cannot be used to recognise you in other apps. Deleting and reinstalling the game produces a new one.

On Android we have deliberately removed the advertising-ID permission that our analytics library would otherwise have requested, so the game does not have access to it.

03

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, or any payment information.

This is enforced in the game’s own code, not only by policy: before any event is sent, it is checked against a list of prohibited fields — including name, email, phone, address, location, IP address and any advertising identifier. If an event contains one of those fields it is discarded and never sent.

04

Turning analytics off

Analytics collection is on by default and can be switched off at any time in Settings › Analytics.

When it is off, events are discarded inside the game before they are recorded or queued — nothing is stored on your device waiting to be sent, and nothing is transmitted. The setting takes effect immediately and persists between sessions. Crash reporting is retained so we can still fix crashes that would otherwise make the game unplayable.

05

Information stored only on your device

Your game progress and settings — score, unlocked content, volume, haptics and your analytics choice — are saved locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the game removes them.

If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled by your device itself. We do not send push messages from a server, and no notification data leaves your device.

If you use the share button to save a screenshot, the image is written to your photo library by your device’s own share sheet. The game does not read your photo library.

06

Who your information is shared with

We share the information described above with Google, who provide Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics on our behalf. See Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.

We do not sell your information, share it with data brokers or advertising networks, or use it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.

07

Where information is processed, and how long we keep it

Firebase processes data on Google’s servers, which may be located outside your country. Analytics data is retained according to our Firebase configuration and is deleted automatically when that period elapses. Crash reports are retained while they remain useful for fixing the crash.

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

08

Children

Chonk Crunch contains no ads, no purchases, no chat or other communication features, no social features, and no advertising identifier. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will remove it.

10
